Classroom News: Paper Marigolds Tutorial

The tutorial for making paper marigolds in now live in my online classroom.  In addition to this tutorial, I also added on for wire stems to demonstrate how I create my stems.  You can also see what tutorials are coming soon since I have added a photo for each one that I am working on.  I will continue to add them over the next week or so until I have them all posted.

Class News: Class info for St. Louis and Springfield MO

Hey everyone!  I have updated the class information pages for For Keeps Sake St. Louis and Scrapbook Springfield Mo with sample images and class descriptions. I will be teaching two classes and doing a demo at Scrapbook Generation in Springfield MO June 11-12, 2010.

Classroom News: Shaped Roses Tutorial

Bazzill Flower Pot Tutorials. . .

Is what I am working on today.  Hopefully the photography part will be done today or tomorrow so I can edit and get the tutorials posted this week.  I think my self imposed deadline was about two weeks ago. . . yikes, I am behind.  I think though that you will all find they worth waiting for!

Classroom News: Yet another new classroom

I discovered yesterday that the hack attempt on my site last week caused some problems with my shopping cart program that I use to deliver my class downloads.  It caused the downloads to stop working.  I have switched everything over to a new cart system that is actually a 3rd party service so that there is a lot less work and maintenance involved for me.  You can still find the downloads through this site, you just will be receiving the downloads through the other site.  It is very safe and secure and way faster than the other set up. You can find the class and all future classes on the site here on the menu bar above under "Online Classroom" and then "Project Instruction Downloads". If you have had trouble before downloading the class I invite you to try it again.  If you haven't downloaded it, it is free so I hope you will take a peek!

All moved and ready to get back on track!

Yay! Everything is all moved and set up at our new host. You probably won't see any difference unless you look at the menu bar above. Everything on the site is now at home on www.174.121.37.86/~tammytut instead of www.fairydavis. com . If you are in the habit of typing in the Fairy Davis address to visit me here, you still can, it will bring you the new place starting sometime tomorrow or so. If you have downloaded a class in my online classroom, you will need to re-register there.  In the process of the move we re-built the classroom and did not move over any previous account information. Tomorrow I will be back to sharing images and crafty things so be sure to check back in then!

Classroom News: New Classroom Reveal

A couple of weeks ago I added my first downloadable online class to the site here.  I really loved that the program I was using to deliver the downloads worked right here from within my blog because that made it really easy for me to have just one spot to log into to manage everything .  Unfortunately, the cart program really just did not work well.  To make the whole process a bit easier, I have installed a new cart, one that used back in the Heart In Hand Scraps days that I know works well and delivers downloads as it should.  After a little tinkering to make it all pretty, I am glad to say it is all ready to go! If you haven't already grabbed the free House Shadowbox download, you can still get it and now, download it much easier than before! If you would like to visit the classroom, you can click on the "Online Classes" link above. I can't wait to show you the project that will be added in January!  I love it so much and hope you will too!

From my studio: Cottage Nightlight

I shared a couple of quick shots of this project a few days ago but wanted to share more now that I have gotten to photograph it in better light. I have also set the date for this class at For Keeps Sake for January 9th from 1-4pm.  Class cost and materials is still to be determined so stay tuned for those details.  If you don't live in St. Louis but would like to make this project yourself, I will be making downloadable instructions available here in my classroom around January 15th.
