New Class Now Available: Welcome Banner

This project is a personal favorite!  I love the idea of displaying a special key for Santa at Christmas time.  Although this finished example is in a holiday theme, it can easily be adapted to a non-seasonal design by adjust a few supplies and colors.  I plan to create a non-seasonal version "Welcome Home" in colors to match my living room decor.  A Halloween version with "Enter If You Dare" would be fun as well.  

Directions are broken down in over 100 small steps that include both a photo and text instruction.

The project features machine sewing but can be completed without sewing for those without a machine.  The instructions include alternate suggestions for finishing the project without sewing.

Download includes:

• Supply List: The same supply list (minus the links) as shown below is included in a printable format so that you can take it shopping to your favorite scrap store. Make sure you check your stash first, there are lots of things that could be substituted that would make your project uniquely your own!

Project Instruction: the download includes the project instruction saved in three different formats.  

• Handout: This is a printable version of the instructions with 6 steps with photos per page.  Because this file is a .pdf*, it can be imported to a tablet or e-reader for viewing**.  It can also be viewed on a computer.
• Slides: This file contains each step as a single page so that the full image is full screen.  It is printable, but at over 100 full color pages, I don't really recommend it.  This file is also a .pdf* so it can be viewed on a tablet or e-reader**. It can also be viewed on a computer.
• Show: This is a Powerpoint slide show, view-able on your computer.

Coming Tuesday. . .

I am super excited to let you know that I have a brand new downloadable class coming Tuesday.  The class features full step-by-step instructions for one of my personal favorite projects, The Welcome Banner.  

This example features a holiday theme, but I include tips and product tips for a non-seasonal version.  The class will include a slide show version (great for viewing on your tablet or e-reader) and a full color printable version as well as a printable supply list, great for taking with your to your favorite scrap supply door.  The download will be just $5.

New Class Sneak Peek: Welcome Home Frame featuring Pink Paislee Mistables

I took a little break from the routine this week and stayed out of the studio on Sunday and then today spent the day doing some research for a new project I have coming up.  Since the blog needed some pretty new pictures, I decided to share images of a project I have not shared before.

This frame was supposed to be a class I was going to offer in stores this fall, but then because I got sick and had to change up my fall schedule, I never ended up sharing it.  I will be working on photographing and writing it up next week as a new downloadable class.  It has been a bit since I added a new class to my online classroom and think this one will be a fun online project.  Until then, here are a few peeks!

The class will include some inking and misting techniques and also include several mistable products with different types of surfaces.  This project is really a quick one and would make a great holiday gift.  I am crossing my fingers and shooting for a target date of November 4th to have the class ready for download.

I have a new home for my downloads!  For a long time now I have used e-Junkie to deliver my class downloads.  Because that is a monthly service with fees based on file size, I had to host free downloads elsewhere.  For a while I paid to host the freebies and realized that I was paying way too much money to give stuff away for free.  I have tinkered with different free options and locations to host my free downloads since then.  None of those options have been great.  I started having some glitches with e-Junkie on the paid classes and decided it was time to explore some other options, something that would give me some space to grow.  I have big plans for more downloadable classes in the near future and needed to get something in place to that would handle those downloads better for both me and customers.  I think I have found it and am happy to unveil my new shop at Shopify: Tammy Tutterow Designs.  

I have given it some test runs and so far so good!  I am pleased with the look and operation and am happy about the space and options I have there to offer more things in the future, all under one roof!  I plan to eventually move my Etsy shop items there as well so that everything I sell will be in one spot.  Streamlining and simplifying feels really great!

I will be adding a handy button on the side bar soon and re-directly all of the old links to downloads there soon.

By the way- The Vintage Glimmer Tag Book class is back by popular demand.  I have gotten so many requests to un-retire it that I have brought it back.  I retired it because several products I used in the sample project were discontinued.  Several people mentioned to me that the class is really about the techniques demonstrated and not the product shown.  If you are interested in misting and learning ways to add misting to your projects, you may be interested in this class.

Made From Scratch Binder Download now available!

I have gotten several requests for a downloadable set of instructions for my Butterfly Garden Binder class.  I finally have them available!  If you have purchased instructions from me in the past, this set is formatted a bit differently.  The instruction is my actual class slide show rather than my usual project sheet format.  Because of the number of photos in the instruction, going with the slide show I already had made was faster and easier.  There is a printable version included, it just isn't formatted like my downloads usually are.  They are just as good (I promise) but just not as pretty!

New class revealed: Made From Scratch Binder!

I am so glad to finally have some peeks at my other new class that I will be teaching for Spring and Summer 2011.  It features the beautiful Butterfly Garden collection by Pink Paislee and Art Parts by Wendy Vecchi and Stamper's Anonymous as well as plenty of Tim Holtz goodies and Sticky Back Canvas by Claudine Hellmuth!  I really love the way it turned out!  It is packed with pockets, tags, and pretty little bits of this and that.

If the "Made From Scratch" name sounds familiar, that is because this class is a follow up to my popular Made From Scratch class at Big Picture Classes!  If you loved that class and all of the options it gave you fro making your own books, I promise, you are going to love this one too!

Home Sweet Home Canvas

I know I already shared a quick sneak peek, but I had to come back and show you my final "official" class photos of my new Home Sweet Home Canvas class.  In addition to offering it online (coming soon) I will be teaching this class in stores as well.  So far I have it planned for Springfield, MO, St. Louis, MO, and Moline, IL.  I will be adding the details for each of those locations soon!

The class features a fun vintage style collage on a 8x10 stretched box canvas.  It features products from Pink Paislee's Hometown Summer collection, Wendy Vecchi's Art Parts, and some fun uses for Tim Holtz's new Distress Stains!

 

Sunday Studio: New Class Sneak Peek!

Ahhh!  I love a good day in the studio!  I remember several months back I vowed that Sunday was going to be a studio day, no work, just play.  I finally got back to that and played and created all day long.  You could call it work though because the project I worked on is my next downloadable class that will be available here on my blog.  So while I created all day, I snuck in lots of photos and notes.  I love how this project is shaping up and can't wait to get it all ready to post.  I thought until that time I would share a peek at the front cover.  If all goes as planned, this project should be ready in about 2 weeks!
