I have been taking a lazy day playing with stamps and inks today. I meant to get my usual Sunday Stamping post up but got caught up in playing. Before I knew it, the daylight was gone in my favorite photo spot. I hope this will do, it is a tag I am playing with this evening. I am using Tim Holtz's new fall Distress Inks and loving them. I can't decide which of the three is my favorite, each one is such a great color!
In case you missed out on getting these, I will share that I have a set that I plan to give away very soon. I have a few goodies I am gathering for a fun fall themed give away so be sure to keep an eye out for a post about that coming up soon!

This week Fiskars and Graphic 45 are pairing up to share some really amazing projects on the G45 blog and on the Fiskars website and Facebook page. As part of this fun trade, there is a great prize pack full of Fiskars and G45 products. You can find the full scoop on G45's blog.
I had the pleasure of creating a project for the trade using G45's Magic of Oz collection. My project is featured on Fiskar's website and includes a tutorial for covering a wooden box without measuring. I love when I can skip measuring! You can find the tutorial here: The No Measure Method to Covering a Box. And because I love sharing tons of project photos, here a few from the article plus a couple of extras!
Many thanks to the fabulous ladies at G45 for the wonderful products they shared with the Fiskars team. It was so much fun to use them to create this box!
(I am not posting a full supply list on this one since it is posted at Fiskars. If you see something not listed there or have any questions, feel free to ask me, I am always happy to answer any questions or comments.)

This is my favorite snapshot of the week.
This girl, my Emma, just makes me smile. Even a mundane task like grocery shopping is made an adventure with her. This week we went grocery shopping at Eckerts. Eckerts is a local farm that has a country store full of fresh produce, a real butcher counter, and tons of fresh baked breads and treats. They recently expanded their grocery store so we decided to go on a produce run there for the first time. They have old trucks and tractors all over the property and even inside the store. She was fascinated and thrilled with each one. Each one was like a new discovery. When she found one she could climb up on, she was thrilled and proclaimed that she hoped we would have her next birthday party right there. I don't know about having a party in a grocery store, but maybe out in the farm.
I loved the excitement on her face and just had to share it as my Saturday Snapshot. I hope you have a great weekend full of excitement and adventure, even in the places you least expect it.

I have a couple of new articles up at Fiskars that I haven't had a chance to share here yet. . .
I love how these pillows turned out! They are photos printed on fabric and then are made into pillows. They were so easy and with the holidays coming up, could be great gifts to make. To add a fun touch, I enlisted Emma's help. This set was given to my daughter Anna who is away at college to give her dorm a little touch of home. You can find out more about this project on Fiskar's site: Easy Photo Decor Pillows.
This mini book is another project I did for Fiskars. I wanted a book that would be simple to keep up and would give me space to record things about each school year along with a school photo. Each year all I need to add is a photo and a few quick notes. I love the simplicity of it and how it helps me avoid the "mom guilt" of being behind and forgetting little details about the school years. You can find this book and more details about it on the Fiskars site: School Memories Mini Book.
By the way, that book was made from scratch using chipboard and is filled with papers, stickers, and embellishments from the BasicGrey Oxford collection.
Speaking of BasicGrey, I can finally share with you today that I have been selected as a member of their new, first ever design team! I will be a part of the Altered Arts Team! You can see a list of the whole team on the BasicGrey blog.
If you have followed me for a while, you might be a little confused by this announcement, thinking that I was already a design team member for them. They actually didn't have a design team before, but rather had a group of people as contract designers that have done show samples and other projects for them as needed. I have been really blessed to have been in that role for a little over 5 years with them. With today's announcement they now have an official design team, which I am thrilled to be a part of. I you have enjoyed what I have made and shared with you in the past featuring BasicGrey products, you will be happy to know that nothing will change, except for the frequency of the projects. You will be seeing a lot more BasicGrey goodness here!
And just for fun because you know I like to have tons of photos in every post, I want to share my all time favorite BasicGrey show sample featuring my all time favorite BasicGrey collection Curio.
