Here is a quick little share for Sunday. . .
To create this shink art necklace, I stamped the ray design on the back side (the rough side) of the shrink plastic. Usually, you stamp on the smooth side of shrink plastic. I wanted to see some dimension between the words on the front and the rays on the back so I put the words on the front and the rays on the back. I am not sure that you can see it in the photos, but you do end up with the front image looking as though it is floating above the other.
On the backside, I added color to the stamped image with Letraset Promarkers and Ranger's Adirondack Pigment markers. Because I stamped with Staz-on ink, which reacts with the alchol ink markers (Letraset Promarkers) I added color on and next to the stamped areas with the pigment ink markers. The pigment markers created a barier between the alcohol ink markers and the Staz-on ink. I then added in color with the alcohol ink markers in the open areas that were free of stamp ink.
To create the butterfly charm, I stamped the image on shrink plastic and then punched a hole between the antenaes before cutting out the butterfly. I cut the butterfly out making sure to leave a wide border around the punched hole. I shrunk both piece with my heat gun. After shrinking, I added jump rings and a chain. Super easy, super quick, and totally unique jewelry.

I love writing and sharing tutorials, the full-all-out-step-by-step photos kind of tutorials. I have decided that I want to focus on writing and sharing more of them here. I thought it would be helpful for me to pick a day of the week to do just that. I love routine so making a standing appointment works well for me and keeps me focused and on track. Tuesday felt like a good day of the week to choose. It goes well with "Techniques" and that little nick name I have (tammy tutorial) given to me by someone pretty special. Life is crazy and I think that there may be a time or two that Tuesday will get by me, so I am going to give myself a break every now and then for life and hope that will be ok with you all.
The fun starts this Tuesday. I have the project all ready to go. I can't wait to show it to you! I hope you will love the technique and I hope that you will love Tuesday Techniques and what is to come!

I have a new home for my downloads! For a long time now I have used e-Junkie to deliver my class downloads. Because that is a monthly service with fees based on file size, I had to host free downloads elsewhere. For a while I paid to host the freebies and realized that I was paying way too much money to give stuff away for free. I have tinkered with different free options and locations to host my free downloads since then. None of those options have been great. I started having some glitches with e-Junkie on the paid classes and decided it was time to explore some other options, something that would give me some space to grow. I have big plans for more downloadable classes in the near future and needed to get something in place to that would handle those downloads better for both me and customers. I think I have found it and am happy to unveil my new shop at Shopify: Tammy Tutterow Designs.
I have given it some test runs and so far so good! I am pleased with the look and operation and am happy about the space and options I have there to offer more things in the future, all under one roof! I plan to eventually move my Etsy shop items there as well so that everything I sell will be in one spot. Streamlining and simplifying feels really great!
I will be adding a handy button on the side bar soon and re-directly all of the old links to downloads there soon.
By the way- The Vintage Glimmer Tag Book class is back by popular demand. I have gotten so many requests to un-retire it that I have brought it back. I retired it because several products I used in the sample project were discontinued. Several people mentioned to me that the class is really about the techniques demonstrated and not the product shown. If you are interested in misting and learning ways to add misting to your projects, you may be interested in this class.

I have gotten several requests for a downloadable set of instructions for my Butterfly Garden Binder class. I finally have them available! If you have purchased instructions from me in the past, this set is formatted a bit differently. The instruction is my actual class slide show rather than my usual project sheet format. Because of the number of photos in the instruction, going with the slide show I already had made was faster and easier. There is a printable version included, it just isn't formatted like my downloads usually are. They are just as good (I promise) but just not as pretty!
Anyway. . . here is what is included for $6.00
Downloadable instructions for the Made From Scratch Binder featuring Pink Paislee's Butterfly Garden Collection.
Download includes my original class Powerpoint Slide Show, a printable version of the slide show, a printable supply list, cutting and embellishment diagrams, finished project images, and 9 printable templates for the unique pages, pockets, and folders.
Please note that purchasing this project instruction is for personal use. It may not be reproduced, used in a kit, or used in a class setting. If you are interested in a commercial use, please contact me for details.
