Whew! Sorry, I haven't meant to be away so long, I have just had a whole string of things that kept me away.
A big one has been that my site got moved to a new server. You may notice it loading a bit faster which is a good thing. The downside is that a few posts didn't make the move and had to be re-posted from a back up. You might not have even noticed actually, but I mention it because the comments to those post were lost in the process. One of those posts was the flower pot give away post. I didn't want it to look odd to anyone that the comments were gone. I had them and picked a winner from them before the move so it was all good and legit. Anyway. . .
What about the vintage images? I know several people visit regularly for the vintage images and that I haven't shared any for quite a while. They are not gone and will be back. I just got really busy and didn't have the time to get any ready and posted before all of my trips in June. They actually take me a pretty fair amount of time to do so sometimes when I get really busy they fall by the wayside. Right now there are a couple of things to resolve on the move to the new server before I can start sharing them again, but that shouldn't be much longer so look for them to return soon!
Springfield. . . my trip to Springfield to teach was absolutely wonderful! Karen, Debbie, Allison, and Stacey at Scrapbook Generation were so wonderful to meet! Their hospitality was top notch, it really was like visiting home. They had fresh baked cookies on the tables for my Friday night class and chocolates out on Saturday! I loved that little touch! Believe me, after two marathon classes, the students needed those chocolate treats! Scrapbook Generation is an absolutely fabulous store, if you ever find yourself in Springfield, MO you really must check it out!

Ok, Ranger U. Wow. I still don't really know how to describe it. It was completely amazing and so full of information. Every moment was full of information and a-ha moments. I have watched Tim Holtz demo at trade shows and watched his video tutorials but never had the opportunity to take an actual class with him. He is hands down one of the best instructors I have ever had for anything. He made every thing so simple and clear. We also had instruction with Claudine Hellmuth (who you know I adore) and Suze Weinberg.
I bought a new smaller camera with me to take pictures with so I could chronicle the whole journey. . . it turns out I was so engrossed mentally in the process that I only took 5 pictures the whole trip!

One of the most amazing parts was the people I had the pleasure to meet
there. There were people from all over the world learning and sharing
together. I met people I have admired and made many new friends.
I came home with an obscene amount of product too. I have everything I need to practice all that we learned.
I think the biggest treasure though is the ring of tags with samples of
everything we did. It is sure to be a resource for me in what I create
and what I share and teach for a very long time. Just sitting and
looking through it at home gives me sparks of inspiration over and over
again.

Once I got back, I was down for several days with a nasty sinus infection. I seem to get those after flying. It kind of knocked me off of my feet for several days. Since beating the sinus funk, I have just been running non-stop.
I taught a class at For Keeps Sake in making the Bazzill Flower Pot Flowers. I dove into assignments for CHA for BasicGrey (wish I could show them to you!), and have been doing lots of mom things while everyone is home for the summer. One of which included going with my daughter Anna to take my youngest daughter Emma ice skating for the first time. Years ago Anna skated and competed and she has been itching to take Emma forever.
Much to Anna's delight, Emma has been bitten by the skating bug and has asked to take lessons. I see costume sewing in my future again!
Ok, so there you have it, my June in a nutshell! Hopefully July will be a bit slower and I can settle back into a more normal bloggy routine. I will have new scrappy things to share soon too along with more vintage images so stay tuned!
