I didn't manage to get a free image up today, but hopefully the chance at this RAK will make it okay. . .
I have too much stuff! Too much paper, too many supplies, and too many cool alterable things just waiting to have something done with them. This RAK is a small attempt at reducing my stash on all three counts.
First up, too much paper. I have a major love for all things Sweetwater. They used to make paper and scrapbooking stuff but now do fabric and sewing patterns (which are soooo amazing, if you haven't checked them out, you should). I own a healthy stash of almost every paper line they ever made. I can't bring myself to use it out of fear of it being gone forever. The thing is though, if I refuse to use it, I am not really enjoying it like I should, right? Right. So I have vowed to use it more and make things with it that I will use and be able to look at regularly rather than having these papers that I love sitting on a shelf packed away.
This line was called "Paintbox". I totally loved it. Still do. I am thinking of decorating my Making Memories Tool Carousel with it.
This super cool rectangular lunch box is representative of the too many alterables part. I was really, really into decorating and painting tins and lunch boxes for a while. I really loved this one so I bought a whole stack of them. About that time I got bored with lunchboxes and so these have sat in my stash untouched for probably two years or more. Sad. You know what I discovered when I pulled it out of my stash and decorated this one? Lunchboxes and tins are fun to decorate, I think I might do more (cough cough, especially since I have a whole stack of them, cough cough).
So then, what should I fill the box with. . . how about some color? That would help with the too many supplies part. What you see in the photo is my collection of Close To My Heart Markers, many of them NEVER used. I had a thing for these markers once and was determined to have them all, all 60+ of them. I never did get them all. Since I have now fallen into the Copic Spell, I have decided that maybe someone else could use and enjoy these since the Copics work better for the type of projects I like markers for.
There are 42 different CTMH markers included. You can get an idea of the colors above. Three of the markers need love. . . one has a dirty tip that marks fine but is ugly, one needs re-inked even though it was one that was never used, and one got stored vertically a little too long and leaked around the brush a bit. I have those three tied in a bow so if this box of color ends up on your crafty table, you will know which ones they are.
So here is the deal, if you would like to make this box of color yours, leave me a comment and tell me something about your favorite color or maybe your absolute most favorite paper line that you find yourself hoarding and unable to use, or even just a "pick me!". You have until next Monday 9pm (CST) to leave a comment. I will then use some highly scientific method to draw a winner and then will send this box with all of the markers to them.
Sound good? Good luck!
