I feel like I haven't blogged in forever. If you happen to check here, you may have thought I fell off the face of the earth. I didn't, but I kind of feel like it. I have been sick, again. Doesn't it just figure that when you have a million things you need to do, the crud always seems to creep in and get you? I think being on the tail end of my rotation of night shift really didn't help much. Toward the end of my three month rotation I always get really worn down and tired. Add in my ongoing trouble and impending surgery and a bad case of the stomach crud, and well, I just have been worn out and wrung out. I finally seem to be over the worst of it, at least for now and am running like crazy to try to catch up.
So one of the last times I posted, I shared the following project in progress. Well, actually it was done but I didn't realize it. I thought it needed more but the more I let it set and the more I looked at it, I decided it was done. I also mentioned a RAK not too long ago but at the time I wasn't sure what or how I wanted to do one. I ended up on deciding to RAK this project and I chose the lovely Miss Christi Snow to give it to. Chirsti posted a message telling me how much she loved this project and I instantly knew that was the answer to my RAK, to send it on to her. Plus, we live nearby and it gives me a perfect excuse to finally meet her in person after knowing her online FOREVER!
Okay, so for a few details about this project, just in case you are curious. . . this project is very dimensional. I intended it to be a decor piece on a canvas, although I didn't attach it before taking these photos.
The little heart flowers have floral wire stems and are accented with Hanah Silk Ribbon (one of my very favorite things on earth), bling brads, Heidi Swap felt flowers layered with Prima flowers. The small satin leaves are generic craft suplly.
One of the layers here is a clear piece by Clear Scraps. I added Pink Paislee silver rub-ons to it and brushed the edges with brown Staz-on ink. All of the papers are Pink Paislee Pop Fashion. The tag pieces are Pink Paislee Pop Fashion Top Siders. The text, aside from the Pink Paislee scrip letter stickers is my handwriting.
