The project I want to share with you is this fun little vintage inspired decor piece. If you know me, you know that I love shabby and vintage so you can just imagine how excited I was over a line called Vintage Moon!
For this piece, I used a mix of Vintage Moon papers, Paislee Press Ons, our clear stamps, glitter, and our new Top Siders chipboard. The tree here is actually the branch on the paper with the owl.
For the quote, I used a rub-on phrase on a piece of pattern paper and trimmed it out. I adhered it with a foam square to the top of a Top Sider. I adhered the Top Side with foam squares to the top of a thin sheet of mica. I added a small rub-on bird to the mica and then adhered it to base piece with a foam square. There are lots of layers going on with this project!
The image I used is this great vintage image. To give her a dimensional look, I printed the photo on plain, smooth cardstock three times. I cut her out of each photo, two with her parasol and one without. I stamped our new butterfly stamp on a piece of shimmery vellum and adhered it to the back of the piece without the parasol. I then adhered the winged girlie to the top of the other two layers. To add color to the girlie, I dug out my craft chalks and applied a bit of subtle color.
