Look what came in the mail today! I am so excited to finally get my much anticipated Lisa Leonard "Family Tree" necklace. It is just so stunning in person! I am so thrilled to have found a link to Lisa's blog (thanks again Joy)! I just don't even know how to say just how much I love this necklace. I am completely hooked now and know I am going to be adding more of her pieces to my collection.
I also got one of her fun little hand stamped rings too. It is so thin and dainty. I chose to get my dear hubby's name on it. That of course was before he said I was whiney and complained too much after my second surgery. Hmm, two surgeries in two weeks, I think I was entitled to complain a bit. He may just need to buy me another of Lisa's wonderful necklaces to make up for it! I know he would want me to have more!!
Okay, I don't really want to advertise this because I don't want to lessen my chances at winning (how's that for honnesty!!) but if you go to the blog I Love Give-A-Ways, you can enter to win one of Lisa's wonderful necklaces. But shhhh, let's keep this between just you and me, okay?
As I sit here at work tonight watching the snow pouring down, I can't but dream about summer and cruising with the top down and feeling the warm sunshine raining down on me. Okay, no, I don't have a convertible, I have an Impala (so boring and such a family car) but hey, since I am dreaming, I am going to dream good! I have thinking of getting a new car lately and I really am loving that convertible Beetle. I can so see me in one so since I am daydreaming, I am tooling around in a Beetle with the top down.
That reminds me, a while back I mentioned how I need to make a mini me to put in my desktop Beetle. I was shopping at Hobby Lobby a couple of weeks ago and found a small version of one of those posable figures that you use for sketching. It was on clearance for a buck. I have always wanted one of those figures. I secretly love to draw and illustrate and always thought I should have one for my desk. Really more for decoration than anything, but still an artist kind of thing to have. So guess how tickled I was to find that my new "dolly" as Emma calls it, fits almost perfectly in my Beetle. I have the silliest fun posing her in, on, around the Beetle. Silly, I know.
Okay, so speaking of dreaming about non-snowy days, I am so excited to be going to California in just over a week! At one moment I am excited and in the next I am in panic mode! I have so many samples that I still want to finish up for the Pink Paislee booth. I have been having such a blast playing with the papers and stamps. I don't think of myself as much of a stamper, but the other night I was playing with the PP stamps and found myself wanting to stamp on everything! I will be heading out a week from Sunday with Holly. While there I will be working the PP booth and also crusing the show floor a bit for HHS. I just love going to the trade shows and seeing all of the new scrap goodies being introduced. It is pure scrappy heaven!
Speaking of the show, I did samples for both Pink Paislee and BasicGrey. It seems like forever since I shared a project here! Well good news, if you come by here to see what crafty things I am up to, starting Monday, I will be able to start showing you some PP projects. My BasicGrey projects will be up around the 11th.
