I think I am still trying to get caught up after being gone for 5 days. I am still battling jet lag I think and maybe a sinus infection. I don't know what it is, but I am fighting the cruddies.
Anyway, the show was amazing! We had so many people telling us that Pink Paislee was quite the buzz on the show floor. We had a ton of people telling us that they had come downstairs just to find us. I was really honored that Rebecca, Barry, and Holly let me be a part of it all. I was also very surprised to have Rebecca ask me to join the team officially as the Design Team Coordinator. I am so thrilled and honored and excited to officially be a part of the team. There are so many things already in the works for the next show and beyond and to get to see it all coming together behind the scenes is amazing.
Okay, so more about California. It was a beautiful 78 there while back home in St Louis it was in the teens with freezing rain. Darn! Hate that I missed that. There were a few issues at the hotel we were at. Holly and I had a great time teasing Rebecca (here after known as
"The Captain") and Barry about them putting us up in "the motor lodge".
I wish I could tell you about all the other great things at the show, but I honestly didn't get to wander around much. Holly and I tried on Tuesday but got summoned back to the booth to work. I am not complaining because that means business was really good!! We later managed to get back to the show floor but it was mostly for business and for visiting with a few friends. I could just list name after name of all of the fab people I got to visit with but I would surely leave someone out and then feel bad.
I got to work with and get to know the Nicoles, Pattye, and Davinie who were just a blast to hang out with. Below is a photo of me and Davinie. I took very few photos, so I am using Holly's. There are perks to traveling with a professional photographer, mainly, you don't have to drag your camera along much and still get great photos.

Me and Davinie.

"The Captain" and Barry, the man in pink. Hmm, that sounds kind of Johnny Cash-ish.

On Monday night we went to Downtown Disney for dinner. It was such a cool place with really unique shops and restaurants with several street musicians.

Robyn Witherspoon was on the same flight with us to and from California. I seem to only get to see Robyn at the shows, which is crazy because she is in St Louis too.

Alexis, Amy, and Angela from Dream Street were also on our flight. Amy teaches at the same store as me. Timi the store owner was on our flight too. Ugh, thinking about the airport reminds me of the harassment I received by a very unpleasant TSA agent. Whatever you do, don't ever try to carry a juice box and contact solution on to a plane.
I wish I had taken a picture of my dear hubby and little one when we got to the airport in St Louis. I just was so sick feeling that I didn't think of it. David was there with a rose for me and gave me the longest, sweetest hug. Emma came running with open arms. There is nothing like that feeling of such pure love. I tell you, when I am away and see my dear hubby again it is like seeing him for the first time again. I love him so very much. And oh that sweet little girl, just the sweetest thing you could ever wish for. The trip was great and exciting, but ahhh, being home is so wonderful.
