Well, this was an exciting weekend for all of us here in one way or another. Anna and Jacob left this morning to visit their dad for spring break. Sunday the family came over to celebrate Emma's second birthday. It wasn't but a few days ago that I was watching her and realized she was no longer a baby. She has turned into a child. Those with kids will understand what I mean. Monday was Tammy's birthday, and she got a big thrill by talking with a scrapbooking idol on the phone who gave her a job teaching online classes. Check out her scrap blog for more details.
My big day was on Monday. I was able to go to the home opener ball game. Cardinal Nation has a new home. It was pretty cool to be there. I was at the final regular season game, and the final game ever (NLCS game 6) at old Busch. Now the first game at Busch III. And my brother Jason was with me. We had a good time walking around trying to just get a feel for the new park and see some of the new amenities. The stadium really is beautiful. Despite the huge crowds in the standing room areas, we did get to see the entire opening ceremonies, and a few innings of the game. I got my magnet, and certificate of attendance. I bought a scorecard to go with it as well.
I look forward to many more games at the new stadium, many more of Emma's birthdays, and one day taking her with me to see the Cards play.
