Emma has developed a new love of art. She has suddenly become crazy for drawing. For the past several days she has walked around the house saying, "draw, draw". Forget saying mommy and daddy, everything now is about the drawing.Unfortunately, before we knew of her gifts, daddy was careless with an ink pen and left one in easy reach. A couple of weeks ago she created this masterpiece. Don't recognize the canvas? Let me help, it is my couch cusion. Sweet Emma, knowing that every great work should have a companion piece created two more. We are proud owners of a trio of her early works.
Fast forward a couple of weeks, her preferred medium now is pencil and paper. No paper is safe! She's not picky, bills, magazines, homework, it all works. Day before yesterday she added her now favorite new word, "draw". Today she wouldn't have anything to do with her other toys, she sat with a fresh tablet of paper and a pencil and created. Boy do I wish I could have such an everflowing fountain of inspiration! Christmas will be easy at our house this year, a nice case of no. 2s and spiral notebooks. Hmmm, I need to hit Walmart, I think back-to-school supplies are on clearance there!
